How AccessiSight works

AccessiSight Accessibility Testing Features: How the platform works.

Four steps from the first scan to a report you can hand to a buyer: detect, understand, fix and document.

Step 1

Detect

Our headless Chromium engine crawls your entire site, including authenticated portals and single-page apps. We don't just look at the DOM; we analyze the visual layer, color contrast, and semantic structure against WCAG 2.2.

1.3 Billion People

Step 2

Understand

A WCAG failure isn't just a technical bug: it's a barrier for a real person. Every finding is rated by how badly it blocks people (critical, serious, moderate or minor), and you can hear how a screen reader announces the element, so your team understands the effect, not just the rule.

Step 3

Fix

Smart Fix suggests replacement code for your React, Vue or plain HTML components: accessible names and ARIA labels, focus styles and heading structure. Review each suggestion before you ship it.

<div onClick={submit} className="btn">
  Submit
</div>
<button
  onClick={submit}
  className="btn"
  aria-label="Submit application"
  type="button"
>
  Submit
</button>

Step 4

Comply

Procurement teams ask for proof. Generate VPAT reports and compliance reports mapped to ADA, Section 508, and the European Accessibility Act in a few minutes. Each report marks the criteria that still need manual testing, so you know what to finish before you send it.

Built Different

Four things most accessibility scanners skip.

Real Interaction Testing (KITS+)

50 real keyboard presses, live hover and focus simulation, and real arrow-key tests on ARIA grid, treegrid and tree widgets, instead of guessing from the code what a keyboard user can reach.

11 Global Jurisdictions

Beyond WCAG, dedicated checks for India's GIGW, Japan's JIS, Korea's KWCAG, Israel, Brazil's eMAG, the EU, US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Dark-Pattern Detection

Flags manipulative UX that WCAG scanners don't look for: fake urgency, cancellation flows built to trap you, and forced continuity billing.

Bring Your Own AI Key

Add your own Claude, OpenAI or Gemini key and Smart Fix and chat write with AI. You pay your provider directly, with no markup.

Feature Questions

The specifics behind AccessiSight's Detect, Understand, Fix, and Comply workflow.

What is KITS+ and how is it different from a normal accessibility scanner?

KITS+ is AccessiSight's live interaction-testing layer. It presses Tab 50 real times and simulates real hover and focus in a live browser, to verify what a keyboard user can actually reach instead of guessing from static HTML.

Which countries' accessibility laws does AccessiSight check beyond WCAG?

Beyond WCAG 2.2, AccessiSight runs dedicated checks for India's GIGW, Japan's JIS, Korea's KWCAG, Israel, Brazil's eMAG, the EU, US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand: 11 jurisdictions in total.

Does AccessiSight also detect dark patterns, as well as accessibility bugs?

Yes. Alongside WCAG violations, AccessiSight flags manipulative UX patterns (fake urgency, cancellation flows built to trap you, forced continuity billing) that standard accessibility scanners don't look for.

Can I use my own AI provider instead of AccessiSight's built-in engine?

Yes. With Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) you add your own Claude, OpenAI or Gemini API key, and Smart Fix, chat and image descriptions use that provider. You pay your provider directly, with no markup.

Does AccessiSight only check English-language content, or does it understand other languages too?

Our content-quality checks (generic link text, placeholder headings, unhelpful error messages, generic alt text) read the page's declared language and compare it with real phrase lists in 11 languages besides English: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. A French page whose link says "cliquez ici" is flagged exactly like an English page that says "click here".
