Word & PowerPoint Accessibility Scanner

Upload a .docx or .pptx file to check document title and language, heading and slide-title structure, image alt text, and table headers. The file is read directly from its Office Open XML, the same approach as our PDF/UA and EPUB scanners.

Files are processed securely in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers.

What This Scanner Checks

Title & Language

Word: document title in core properties and a declared document language. PowerPoint: every slide has a real, non-empty title placeholder.

Heading / Slide Structure

Word: built-in HeadingN styles present, and no skipped levels. PowerPoint: title placeholders present on every slide, used by the Outline/Selection Pane view.

Image Alt Text

Every embedded image's descr attribute (the real accessible description, not the auto-generated filename) checked for presence.

Table Header Rows

Whether each table has a marked repeating header row: Word's tblHeader element, or PowerPoint's firstRow table style.
